Kenbrook’s New Executive Director Announcement
Sixty six years ago, a small group of people had a vision for a piece of land by a brook in Lebanon, Pennsylvania. For more than six decades, countless lives have been transformed at Kenbrook--both young and old. Many different leaders wrote chapters in the story of Kenbrook Bible Camp. This Spring, Nick Ressler will begin to write his chapter as the next Executive Director of Kenbrook Camp. Not only did he and his wife, Carissa, meet at Kenbrook but they have also both been personally impacted by Kenbrook as campers, summer staff, and year round team members. Nick and Carissa are a contagious team as those fortunate enough to work/serve with them can attest to. Nick brings an incredible amount of vision and passion to see God work in new and fresh ways at Kenbrook.
Nick, a Messiah College graduate in Adventure Education and a Reverend with the BIC, brings a unique perspective and diversity of strengths gained from his experience in the church (most recently as Associate Pastor at Elizabethtown BIC) as well as in property management, construction, leadership development, mentoring and discipleship, teaching and preaching, and policy writing to lead Kenbrook, its staff and guests into a strong future. Nick has a desire to see partnerships strengthened with the Atlantic conference as well as with the local community and other church, school and corporate groups. Carissa’s support, knowledge and experience as a business owner, will be instrumental as Nick seeks to revitalize, strengthen, and build on Kenbrook’s current foundation.
Between January and March, Nick will gradually start to work with Kenbrook and its staff, while also continuing to serve at Elizabethtown BIC. Eugene Wingert, will be taking on the role of Interim Executive Director during this gradual transition. He and Nick will work closely together during this time. Eugene Wingert brings a lifetime of investment and passion for Kenbrook. The Kenbrook Board is very thankful for his willingness to serve in this capacity.
Nick is thankful for this opportunity and looks forward to how God will work in and through him as he embarks on this journey in March of 2015. The Kenbrook Board is excited to welcome and walk alongside Nick as he serves in the role of Executive Director.
God is faithful!! We look forward with a new hope as this next chapter in the Kenbrook story unfolds! Please join us, the Kenbrook Board, in praying for Nick and Carissa, the Kenbrook staff, and all who will walk closely with them through this transition. Both Nick and Carissa will be an incredible asset to the Kenbrook community.
