LIT (Leader in Training) – Ages 16-17
You might notice our CIT (Counselor in Training) program has been replaced with LIT, why the change? In the past, our CIT program only offered experiences to those interested in experiencing what it would be like to become a camp counselor. The rebranding reflects a structural change to the program where participants can now experience a behind the scenes role of the creation and execution of a program that goes into making each week special and unique. Our mission is to equip and prepare young people for Kingdom work so that they lead and encourage others in being Christ-like in all relationships.
This three week program is entirely free and designed specifically for those who are graduating from their years as a camper and who have an interest in being a part of the summer staff team in the future. LITs will be matched with a different camp counselor or program member each week they are serving at Kenbrook and will get real experience in what it is like to care for and lead a cabin at Kenbrook. Participants will be pushed to grow in their leadership skills and in their faith. LITs have meetings with the Service Director who will mentor them throughout their time at Kenbrook.
